Mumbai is a mass action entertainer produced by Ramu films and directed by AK47 script writer S R Ramesh. Krishna the protagonist works in a bar as cashier who eventually meets a girl beside his house and starting with small fights and humour he falls in love with her. Alongside he is constantly helping an orphanage and has a special bondage with blind kids. Later on due to some problem which occurs in the orphanage, the situation forces him to move to Mumbai which leads him to the underworld. Rest of the story revolves around the thrilling action with the underworld, the orphanage and his love interest.

An Indian raised in the Philippines falls in love with a Filipina on business in Mumbai. She leaves unexpectedly, and he travels back to the Philippines to find her.
Presented as a comment on the lifestyle of Bombay's rich, the film tells of the wealthy Mr. Nanavati (Sandow) who is attracted to a dancer, Roshanara (Yakbal) who in turn is represented by a Dalal Chhotalal (Noor Mohammed). Chhotalal plans to rob Nanavati and seizes his chance when the rich man buys a gold necklace as a present for his daughter's birthday. Chhotalal tempts Nanavati to visit Roshanara, who then seduces him and obtains the necklace. When Nanavati realizes that he has been duped, he accuses Chhotalal, who has by then switched the necklace for a fake. Roshanara, was based upon a real cabaret dancer of that name.
